Customers and Friends
Our industry has changed tremendously, even in the short time since the inception of 81 Auto Auction in 1996. The changes have been challenging and at times quite demanding. It is a blessing to us to be associated with an industry that throughout the years has always risen to the occasion, no matter what the challenge. We are relatively new to the used car business. We are blessed and thankful for everything our friends and associates have taught us in these few years.
The effects of major events in our nation and our state can be charted in automobile sales. From natural events like the May 3rd tornado in 1999 to political events such as Presidential election years of 1996, 2000 and 2004; and certainly the tragedy of September 11, 2001, they are all easily identified in all of our sales performance charts.
Interestingly, something else is evident. No matter what the situation, our customers have managed to flex and adjust business strategies and techniques to meet the demand. Not only has the demand been met, our customers have shown sustained growth over the past 10 years.
We are proud to be associated with a group of people that no matter what the challenge, can not only survive, but thrive in a time in which change is the rule not the exception.
We intend to continue to meet the demands of our industry by providing auction services that far exceed our customer’s expectations. We strive to be grounded in the present with exceptionally fair, honest and equitable services; and, as well, anticipate the future, to continually bring new and exciting services to our customers and friends.
Thanks to all our old friends and associates in the industry. Welcome to all the new friends we are going to make in the future.
